Well, here I am back again. Round 2. I have to say, that it was so nice to see my thoughts on paper. How cool is that!! I want to continue my thoughts regarding this amazing Gay Muslim storyline that is continuing to unfold on Eastenders. The thing that blows me away with this storyline is the way both Marc Elliott and John Partridge are able to take words written in a script and magically bring them to life.
Some of the episodes I have seen already of these two characters have been very intense and quite rivotting to watch. Among the many episodes, I was particularly taken with the scene that involves Syed going to visit Christian after learning that he had been beaten up.
It was one of the most emotional, and intense scenes I have ever seen. When Syed goes to visit Christian, it is like time has stood still, and I could really feel how scared Syed was for Christian. In this scene, I thought Marc, really brought Syed's inner emotions to the service. Then there is the eye contact, oh the eye contact...Wow!! The intensity between these two, is simply out of this world.
It is not often you come across a pair of actors, who can really read each other. It is not just about the lines on a page, but about how they can portray their characters, through their body language. For me, Marc has these eyes that really speak in a non verbal form. It is like you read what his character is feeling, through his eyes.
Then there is John Partridge. Every time I watch him, he always surprises me. He is always full of energy and is constantly cracking jokes, and making each scene, so deep and memorable. He has captured his characters emotion and feelings on a very deep level.
If it weren't for the brilliant professional connection Marc and John have developed in working together, I don't think we would have seen their characters love expressed on TV the way we have been privileged to see. I think these two actors continue to do an outstanding job that their characters are truly there for one another both on a physical as well as an emotional level.
As I have stated before, bringing the Christian and Syed Storyline to life, has allot to do with the outstanding acting gifts of John Partridge and Marc Elliott.
Just a few words to share...
After all, the magic definately comes from the gift of acting....

I totally agree. Marc and John have really brought alive this s/l. I feel for them as they (especially Marc) have had to convey so much with so little screen time and physical contact sometimes.
I agree. Marc and John play Syed and Christian so well and have wonderful chemistry. They have to show so many emotions with very little physical contact yet we totally believe in their love. I love this storyline!!

Totally agree and think the acting has been amazing! Wonderful eye contact and chemistry. Marc definitely can convey reams of dialogue with just his eyes alone. Johnny too. They both have so much charisma they are simply electric to watch.
